A Destiny Fulfilled

Now nicely ripened, my little tomato knew that its purpose in life had been attained, and like a suicide bomber, went happily to its reward.

I had it for lunch today, its little spout and all. It was delicious.

My Tomato Garden

I'm a little teapot
here's my spout
tip me over
pour me out

A product of my tomato garden. a nosey little fellow.
I've already had a few and there are lots more on the vines, but they are taking forever to ripen.

Bike Rally

On the weekend of September 9th, Halifax had its International air show. In Yarmouth, it was motorcycles. They came in droves, hundreds of them, from all over eastern North America.

At noon on Saturday they assembled on main street in downtown Yarmouth and traffic was closed for a while. They came in all shapes and sizes, all shined and polished to perfection

Here is a three seater, almost like a car, but steered with handle bars remotely connected to the front wheel. Great for a small family outing.

Here is a real sporty model. Imagine doing about about a hundred and fifty klicks down the highway on this. Hang onto your hats.

Now here's one for the young fry - or maybe there was a midget in the group.
After lunch they all proceeded to the airport where races were held on the runway not in use. They went one at a time making timed runs . In starting off, several of them did a wheelie when picking up speed. A good crowd was there to watch the performance.

Long Weekend

Around 10:30 this morning Fireguy fired up his Blazer and took off to get a music fix at a CCR concert in Antigonish, with a stopover in Stellarton to visit with Tuffysmom. So I am left with a batch of felines for company. First is Kayla, sometimes referred to as "White". Her age is unknown, and she's about as wide as she is long.

Next comes Katie, a hand-me-down from Tuffysmom some years ago She has a cute little sprig of hair, almost like a horn in the middle of her head. She's long and lanky, but not very brave, and is often bullied by Shania.

Shania is at the head of the feline pecking order and bosses both the other cats. All these cats have one characteristic. They are lap cats. When visitors arrive, they won't be sitting long before one of the cats will jump up on their laps. This is fine if the callers are cat lovers, but that's not always the case. Shania often keeps my lap warm while I'm watching TV. Fireguy seems to be the favorite of the other two.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a nice time over the long labour day weekend. Cheers.
